Separate sealed proposals will be received by the Manchester Local Board of Education, 130 Wayne Frye Drive, Manchester, Ohio 45144 at the address of the above named Board at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 and at that time opened and publicly read by the Treasurer of the Board of Education as provided by Section 3313.46 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. Proposals will be for a 2010 or current model seventy-two (72) passenger conventional school bus body and diesel chassis, and a 2010 or current model ninety (90) passenger class D – rear engine transit bus according to specifications of said Board of Education.

 

     Combined and/or separate and independent bids will be received with respect to the bus body and chassis and will state that the bus, when assembled and prior to delivery, complies with all Board of Education specifications, all safety regulations and the most current Ohio Minimum Standards for School Bus Construction of the Ohio Department of Education adopted by and with the consent of the Director of Highway Safety pursuant to Section 4511.76-77 of the Ohio Revised Code and all other pertinent provisions of the federal law.

 

     Instructions to bidders and bid specifications are on file in, and may be obtained from the Treasurer’s office of the Manchester Local Board of Education. Prices are to be held firm for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening date.

 

     A certified check payable to the Treasurer of said Board of Education or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, in an account equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid as per ORC 153.54 and ORC 153.71.

 

     The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts of any and all bids.
