Lady Greyhound Basketball Camp
The Lady Greyhound coaching staff and varsity players are conducting a basketball camp for girls in grades (K-6) on June 21st through 24th. The camp will be held in the Manchester Elementary School gymnasium. The kindergarten thru 3rd camp will be held from 5:00 to 6:30, and the 4th to 6th grade camp will be held from 6:30 to 8:30.

Ohio Graduation Tests- Tutoring and Assessments
MHS will be offering OGT tutoring to students that need to re-take one or two assessments. The tutoring will begin on June 14, 2010 and end on June 18, 2010. The tutoring sessions will be from 12:00-4:00. Students can re-take one assessment per day. OGT assessments will be offered June 21, 2010 and June 22, 2010. The assessments will begin at 12:00.

The Southern Hills League will hold their Spring Sports Awards this Sunday, May 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Brown High School. Facilities - Improvements
The district Maintenance and Grounds personnel have recently made some improvements to our district facilities. The district is currently in the process of developing a fenced and secure parking area for our bus fleet across Island Creek Road. Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Basketball Team - District Champions!
The varsity boys basketball team will play in the OHSAA Regional Semifinal game vs. Columbus Tree of Life Christian at the Ohio University Convocation Center on Tuesday, March 16th, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will be on sale in the high school office from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, tickets will be on sale Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the elementary school gym (during the pee wee basketball games).
Tickets sold at the Convocation Center will be $8.00. TICKETS SOLD AT THE SCHOOL ARE ONLY $6.00.
Students may sign up to ride the pep bus when they purchase a ticket in the high school office. The pep bus is for Manchester students in grades 7 – 12, and it will depart at 3:30 p.m. Students must sign up for the pep bus by the end of their lunch period on Tuesday.

This is available to any grade providing their papers are turned in, even if they were among those turned in late. If we receive any consent papers between now and then, we will include those as well.

H1N1 Vaccination
The Adams County Health Department will be administering the H1N1 vaccine to students in grades K, 1, and 2 that have previously returned their permission forms. This is the injectable vaccine. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. These inoculations will be given in the Elementary Gym from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Please enter the building through the elementary gym doors.
There will be dates scheduled in the coming weeks for students in other grades and for students that need to turn in their permission slip.

November 30, 2009
I hope that each of you and your family had a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving. The only bad part about Thanksgiving is what follows, namely winter weather. With that thought I want to remind you that Manchester Local School District will be using the School Messenger system again this year to notify you of school closings, delays and early dismissals. In addition, the district will be utilizing the television and radios to broadcast information to the parents and community.
Recently personnel from the Adams County Health Department were here at Manchester Local School District to administer H1N1 vaccinations to our students. A large number of our students received the vaccinations in a very organized and pleasant manner. I want to thank the Health Department for their coordination and support in providing the vaccinations. If any parent of a student would like for their child to receive the H1N1vaccination, they need to contact the Adams County Health Department...

J.H. Girls Finish Second in Adams County Track Meet
On Wednesday, Apri 21st, the Lady Greyhound Junior High Track & Field Team claimed the second place trophy at the Adams County Junior High Track Meet! The 4 x 100 relay team (Hayley Adams, Hannah Rideout, Samantha Aldridge and Jalynd Boyd) was crowned county champs and awarded first place medals. Congratulations!

Greyhound Boys Basketball Camp
The Manchester Greyhound Boys Basketball Staff will be holding a Pee-Wee (Youth) basketball camp from July 26th-29th. The camp is for boys in grades 3-6, and will be held at the new Manchester Elementary School Gymnasium.
The cost of the camp is $30 per player, and it will run from 6 to 8 p.m. each night. Each player who is pre-registered by July 9th will receive a camp t-shirt and a basketball.
