Superintendent's Message

I would like to welcome you to Manchester Local School District, home of the Greyhounds, and to the 2018-2019 school year!  We take tremendous pride in serving our students and our families within our Manchester community.  Furthermore, our staff maintains a high sense of self-efficacy with respect to our evidenced-based instructional strategies utilized district-wide, our implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports, and supporting and facilitating student learning with the ultimate goal of producing graduates who are college and/or career ready.

Manchester Local Schools has an incredible and dedicated staff that remain truly student-centered. Our school district has built a culture of respect and serving the needs of each student, while maintaining rigorous curricula across grade levels. Furthermore, Manchester Local Schools provides a wide array of academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities throughout the course of the school year. Our Manchester Educational & Activity Center offers opportunities for our community and the surrounding areas to engage in physical fitness activities, as well as hosting your organization’s meetings.

We would like to welcome the newest members of our Greyhound team that are either joining us this summer or towards the end of last school year.  We would also like to welcome new additions from our South Central Ohio Educational Service center: Tessy Baker (School Psychologist/Special Education Coordinator), Jaclyn Crawford (Speech Pathologist), and Trent Hall (Preschool Teacher).

                                    Bill Wittman - Band/Choir Director

With the recent release of our state AIR assessments, we would love to recognize several staff members who were instrumental in the success of our students’ scores.  Before we list these teachers, it is important for our internal and external stakeholders to understand that we value the hard work of all our classified staff (bus drivers, bus mechanic, custodians, kitchen staff, maintenance, paraprofessionals, secretaries) and support personnel (audiologist, occupational therapist, physical therapy, school psychologist, vision specialist).  Our collective achievements would not be possible without the assistance of these individuals.  Additionally, we understand that every employee plays an integral role and is able to celebrate the success of each student.
