At Manchester Elementary School, we have had the privilege to receive and earn the Momentum Award from the Ohio Department of Education for 2 years in a row now. The credit of earning the Momentum Award is due to our dedicated staff of teachers and paraprofessionals to our students on a daily basis. As stated on ODE’s website, “The Momentum Award is presented by the State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding expectations in student growth for the year. Schools must earn straight A’s on all Value-Added measures on the report card. The school or district must have at least two Value-Added subgroups of students, which includes gifted, lowest 20% in achievement, and students with disabilities.”
Manchester Elementary School has also earned the
Bronze Award 2 years in a row for our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and
Supports) for promoting academics and positive behavior.
MES
earned an Overall Grade of a 'B' from the Ohio Department of Education
and ODE has informed our school, per federal ratings, (under the ESSA
Plan- Every Student Success Act Plan) that we earned and were
identified as 'Independent,' which is the highest rating a school can
earn.
A great job to
all students, staff, parents/guardians and community!
