Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA)
Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the OAA's beginning this week.  Students will take the Reading assessment Tuesday, April 24, Math Thursday,

Kindergarten & Preschool Registration
MES Kindergarten & Preschool Registration will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.  It will take place from 1:00-7:00 PM in the Manchester Elementary School.  Click here for more details. 
3 In A Row...How Sweet It Is!!
Congratulations to the Manchester Greyhounds on winning their 3rd District Title in a row.  The Greyhounds earned the trip to the Sweet 16 by defeating the South Webster Jeeps on Saturday, March 10th. 
Read Across America
MES students celebrated Read Across America February 27-March 2.
 
MES Upcoming Activities
The following are upcoming dates to remember at MES: 
PINE WOOD DERBY
Pack 360 Pine Wood Derby Race is Saturday, February 25th. This event will be held in the MES cafeteria commencing @ 5:00 PM. 
No School Presidents' Day
There will be no school Monday, February 20th, in observance of Presidents' Day. 
Congratulations Jalen James & Roman Tolle
Congraulations to Jalen James and Roman Tolle in the regional spelling bee held in Portsmouth on Sunday, February 12th. Jalen finished second overall and Roman placed 6th. There were 27 students who particpated. 
Sectional Tournament Information Released
The Manchester Greyhounds will be playing a Sectional Championship Game on Tuesday, February 28th vs. Fairfield at Valley High School.  Game time is 6:15 PM.  Tickets are on sale in the office and during the last Home Boys Game on Tuesday, 
MES Yearbooks
Buy some memories!  Purchase your MES Yearbook for our 2011-12 school year.  Yearbooks will be on sale now until Friday, February 24th.  The cost is $10. 
Spaghetti Supper & P/T Conferences
JH/HS and Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 9th, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Senior Beta and Yearbook will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner from 3:30-5:30 PM in the MES cafeteria on the same evening. 
MLSD Spelling Bee Winners
LSD held the district spelling bee on Thursday, January 19th.  First Place wasRoman Tolle (5th) 
NO SCHOOL - MLK Day
There will be no school on Monday, January 16th, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 17th. 
Scouting for Food
MES students collected canned food for the Boy Scouts of America's Scouting For Food Drive conducted from December 5th - December 15th 
Early Dismissal on December 21st
We will be dismissing school at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21st.  There will be no After School Program on this day. 
MES Picture Retakes
Mr. Brian Napier will be here on Wednesday, December 7th to retake pictures of students who were either absent or whose parent was not satisfied with the initial picture. 
MES Christmas Programs
MES Christmas Programs will be held on Monday, December 5th for kindergarten - 2nd grades and Monday, December 1

Brian Rau, MES Principal, delivered a check to Police Chief Bruce Troutman to help fund the K- 
Air Evacuation Helicopter Postponed
The Air Evacuation helicopter tthat was scheduled to visit Manchester Local Schools on Tuesday, November 22nd, has been postponed due to weather conditions.  It will rescheduled at a later date 
MES Fall Carnival A Success
I would like to thank everyone who made this year's MES Fall Carnival a great success! 
Mad Hatter Reads To MES Students
Disney's Mad Hatter came to read to students in grades kindergarten - 3rd grade on Friday, October 28th.  He read his favorite story, "Alice in Wonderland."
